National Fishing and Boating Day

Partnership blends art and environmental education for interdisciplinary learning
Attend the Annual Fishing Day on Saturday, June 9 from 10-2pm at the Winthrop Fish Hatchery. The annual festival may include the following: Fishing for big trout, Fish cleaning station, Build a River, Hands-on casting with targets, Smoky Bear, Fly Tying, Gyotaku, Fish Watercolor, Ethics and Boating Safety. 10am-2pm. Print On: Group Show
May 24th - June 18th

Join Door No. 3 on Thursday, May 24 from 4-7pm for an opening reception featuring printed works created by students of the studio. The exhibit which will be on view through June 22nd will feature work demonstrating a variety of printing techniques. Prints on view include work from Pearl Cherrington, Sussi Rowntree, Teri Piper, Kelleigh McMillan and others who have passed through or been inspired by Door No. 3.

Twisp Recycling and Public Art Project

Join us for a celebration of local artists, local businesses, recycling and public artwork. Artist will unveil artwork for the Twisp Recycling Project on Saturday, June 16 at 3:30pm on Glover Street. Phase II of the recycling project completes the installation of 6 public recycling bins in high traffic public spaces in the town of Twisp.

Three days packed full of Rhythm & Blues! 2nd Annual Salmon Festival

The Methow Restoration Council has teamed up with Methow Arts Alliance, TwispWorks, Methow Valley Interpretive Center, and Partnership for a Sustainable Methow to create the second annual Methow Salmon Celebration and Community Dinner. Obo Addy & Okropong

African musical history comes to life when master drummer Obo Addy steps on stage. Addy presents traditional songs from Ghana sung in a vigorous call and response style to the accompaniment of many African hand drums and gongo bells. Okropong performs traditional dance and music chosen from the various ethnic cultures in Ghana, including Ga, Ewe, Ashanti, Dagomba and Dagarti. Cultural Workshop on Wed, Apr 18 at the Omak PAC.
