Artists living and working in the Methow Valley are invited to become listed in the artists’ database. The listing provides artists with a free webpage, link to their website, contact information, a short biography and three pictures. The entire page can be created and updated from your home computer.
TO SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT
1. Call Methow Arts and get a username and password.
2. On your home computer go to:
www.methowvalleyarts.org
3. At the bottom of the home page, click the small text link that says
member login
4. Type in username and password
5. On the upper left click
Edit Profile under Member Options
* Here, you will be able to complete your member profile. You may also change your password, but you cannot change your username.
* If you do not have a business name, we recommend that you use your full name as your business name. It will appear as the heading on your page.
* The mediums that you choose will help people find you when searching the artists database. The default listing (before searching) is alphabetical by last name.
6.Once everything is as you want it, click SUBMIT
TO BUILD YOUR WEBPAGE
On the lower left of your member administration page, under Webpage Options, click view to see the page layout. Here you will see that you have three blocks of text, and three pictures you may upload, with captions. All of this you may change at any time.
TEXT
You can either type directly into the boxes, or you can cut and paste from a word document. When you have your text ready, go to Webpage Options and click Edit. Enter text into the three text boxes, and click UPDATE at the bottom. If you want to see your page, hit the refresh button in your internet toolbar.
PICTURES
Your pictures must be sized BEFORE you upload them to 250 x 200 Pixels, and less than 30,000 bytes. Click Picture #1 and follow directions to upload picture. You can have up to 250 word captions with each picture that should be entered in the caption text boxes. We can, time allowing, resize your pictures for you- email Methow Arts (hotlink to email), or stop by our office with your disc.
Methow Arts has a digital camera for you to use in order to help you document your work and have current pictures on your site. Please call us to make arrangements.
